The argentine singer Gustavo Cerati recorded alongside the British musician Roger Waters, former leader of Pink Floyd, a topic that will be part of a project to benefit a foundation that promotes child development programs.
The connection between the two musicians came through the colombian interpreter Shakira, who is one of the most outstanding figures of the “Alas” Foundation, which funds programs for development in Latin America for children up to five years.
The recording of the theme was assisted by the sound engineer Hector Castillo, who worked on the disc with Gustavo “Ahi Vamos”, and was realized in the studios of Philip Glass, who has worked with Beck, Björk, David Bowie, Coldplay, The Cure, Iggy Pop, Patti Smith and Waters himself.
The names of the two musicians had already been mentioned together earlier this year, when he spoke of the possibility of offering a free concert in Buenos Aires, as part of a Live Aid Latino.
Although this information was denied soon after, it is now confirmed that the foundation is organizing charity concerts in various parts of the continent, which involve rock stars and pop music internationally, reported the press office of the argentine.
With this duet, conducted last weekend, the dreams of Gustavo Cerati have been fulfilled, because after playing with some members of The Police, and crowned in 2007 along with the band Soda Stereo as more capacity on call the country and Latin America, now merged their talents with Roger Waters.
